Say NO To Bad News…And Plastic
I’ve never been a big fans of Sundays. It’s the day before Monday, the start of the work week (which isn’t always a bad thing!) and the day after Saturday, which means the weekend is almost over…*sigh*. Sundays are always the days when I feel the most melancholy, possibly because it’s one of the few…
Ban the Foam, Maine Edition
What happens when you eat ice cream too late in the evening? Well…blogging happens. This post is just shy of a month overdue, so I guess it was high-time for a sugar-fueled session. Here we go… Recently, I joined up with the Surfrider Foundation, but more specifically, the Maine Chapter. Surfrider has many campaigns aimed…
“Welcome to the Middle of Nowhere”
So says Bob, the man sitting across the aisle from me in the G-2 plane we took to get to Midway a week ago yesterday. He’s right and for some reason, I don’t believe it until we’re on the tarmac…on Midway. It’s surreal: leave Honolulu at 7pm, hurdle across the ocean for 2 hours and…

I find that weird. Well, I was puttering around Instagram a couple of weeks ago and noticed a photo advertising something…

Folk singers,…

Ryan, you need to write a book about this trip…..or an article for some very well-distributed magazine, I doubt anyone would believe it. The picture of that bird and the crap from inside it is heartbreaking! On a similar subject you might like to read a book just released by a friend of mine, matt Rigney; the book is called In Pursuit of Giants, and it is about the ocean’s largest fish and how we are eliminating them….
hope there are some saving graces about your visit, not all horrors like this one….Christine
