Some of our work

My writing focuses on themes of sustainability, food, and oceans with a heavy emphasis on hope and optimism. It is my feeling that unless we are inspired to change, we will keep repeating the same problems that got us into our global messes (read: climate change, food insecurity, plastic pollution, etc). In order to be inspired, we cannot continuously digest negative news: this creates analysis paralysis, apathy, and overwhelm. Instead, we need stories of hope, that make us feel as though we are not, in fact, alone and that there are people out there working hard to make this planet a better place.

I write about these stories on this blog (Seven In the Ocean) as well as for magazine publications, blogs, and websites. I am always seeking a good story to write about and am available for freelance writing assignments at the drop of a hat!
